Equip, Empower, Excel
Welcome to the recap of “Equip, Empower, Excel” organized by the FCT Tourism Volunteers Network. From December 20th to 22nd, 2023, we hosted a transformative 3-day digital skills acquisition program aimed at equipping and empowering youths in Abuja with essential tools for success in the digital era.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in interactive workshops, practical training sessions, and insightful discussions led by industry experts. They delved into various aspects of digital skills, including software applications, social media marketing, website development, graphic design, and more.
The program provided attendees with a comprehensive learning experience tailored to their needs, ensuring they gained valuable insights and practical knowledge to excel in today’s technology-driven world.
Moreover, “Equip, Empower, Excel” fostered a supportive community where participants had the opportunity to network with mentors, industry professionals, and fellow peers. This collaboration laid the foundation for ongoing growth and collaboration beyond the event itself.

Join us on an exhilarating journey as we delved into the heart of this enchanting West African nation. From January 12th to February 12th, 2024, members of our esteemed Tourism Volunteers Network embarked on a remarkable adventure to partake in the excitement of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2024, hosted right here in Côte d’Ivoire.
As the continent’s premier football tournament unfolded, our volunteers immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of Ivorian culture, hospitality, and sporting fervor. From the bustling streets of Abidjan to the serene shores of Grand-Bassam, they experienced firsthand the warmth and vibrancy that defined this remarkable nation.
During their stay, our volunteers had the opportunity to engage with local communities, sharing experiences, forging connections, and contributing to the spirit of unity that permeated the tournament. From volunteering at youth football clinics to exploring the country’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, every moment was an opportunity to celebrate the beauty and diversity of Côte d’Ivoire.
Through their participation in AFCON 2024 and their interactions with locals, our volunteers played a vital role in promoting cross-cultural understanding, fostering international friendships, and showcasing the immense potential of tourism as a catalyst for positive change.
